ABOUT CHEF
Chef Tipaporn joins Saffron at Banyan Group with over 10 years of culinary experience having worked with several international chains in Thailand & abroad. In her role, she has proven that she can elevate restaurant positioning with creative and competitive offerings, drive restaurant preference with in-house and non-resident guests, and effectively bring awareness and train the team on the changing preferences of guests in the Thai cuisine landscape.
She started her career as Commis Chef with Six Senses Yao Noi an island off-Phuket where during her 2-year stint, she honed her culinary creativity and learned the basics of operating a kitchen. She then moved to Maldives where she spent 2.5 years with Huvafen Fushi a boutique luxury resort as Junior Sous Chef and thereafter with the award-winning W Maldives where she started her journey as Thai Masterchef. Through her role as the specialty chef, she spent time chronicling family recipes, experimenting with seasonal Thai ingredients and cooking techniques to find her niche and style. Alongside finding her culinary expression, she also spent time meeting guests and sharing Thai cuisine and culture with them.
Chef Tipa returned to Thailand in 2019 and worked as a Private Chef for a leading local luxury villa management company following which she joined Mrs. B a contemporary, casual restaurant in Phuket that serves outstanding food & drinks. After having spent a year at Mrs B, she moved to compete in the nationally televised culinary show Top Chef where she was lauded for her creativity and calm demeanor even during high-pressure environs. She won over judges and audience watching the show with her humility and grounded nature and inspired many young people to follow their passion and take up a career in culinary and hospitality.
Her passion for Thai food coupled with her creativity and quest to present her home flavors in a contemporary setting led her to us and since her joining has led Saffron Phuket to win several awards and recognition at industry events.
