Sui Tang Li is showcasing the best of China with a contemporary twist. The restaurant offers and extraordinary selection of Chinese cuisine inspired by Cantonese, Sichuan and of course, Shanghainese delicacies.
Sui Tang Li’s authentic cuisine takes on a creative twist. Dishes are served as sharing plates and small bites, all paired with a notable selection of accompanying wines.
At Sui Tang Li (meaning “happy, free, relaxed”), designed by Italian architect Piero Lissoni, guests enter up a dramatic spiral staircase to the contemporary dining room adorned with wooden floors and chocolate leather armchairs. Local celebrity chef Tony Lu, best known for elevating Shanghainese cuisine to international fame and head chef Tony Ye, created a menu of contemporary dishes inspired by traditional Chinese cuisines and adding contemporary flavors and new creative twists. Shallot-oil cake, a popular Shanghai street snack, becomes elevated with crunchy hazelnut foie gras and Iberian ham.
