The historic ‘1911 Restaurant’ at the Imperial Hotel has been an abode for discerning diners showcasing Raj legacy for about 35 years. Reminiscing the golden era and the year of the emergence of New Delhi as the national capital of India with antiquities dating back to the 1911 Durbar, etchings of ink, lithographs, tints etc., guests are treated to a wide and eclectic Indian and western cuisine, in this all day dining restaurant. Spread into three luxurious dining areas- 1911 restaurant exudes an inimitable old world charm and also have a lovely outside area to chill with friends with low music.

The menu is a bit expensive and might not be suitable for budget travellers. 1911 is excellent for a snack or brunch. The menu includes Delicious Chili Cheese Toast (can be a bit too salty & spicy at times, so better to specify if one prefers less salt & fewer green chilis), California roll; lamb polenta; cold coffee with ice cream, pastries; Sushi rolls; ; som tam; sago parfait pomelo; salad prawns chicken; chicken and the Veg lasagna; macaroons; chocolate verrine, Guchchi, biryanis, Kham Khatai and Maash Qali Chandi Tikka, pineapple Gaz refreshing departure from the tomato the smoked paprika, Noodles; Chocolate caramel peanut parfait etc. There is a large collection of vintage wines.

Almost three decades since inception and the formula and wonderful service remain great; simplicity with low seating. Eating here doesn’t come cheap and reservation is advised.
