Meticulously presented menu features dishes, which are unique, yet simultaneously truly Thai. Issaya’s serves modern Thai food in an artful unique ambiance. The restaurant, in an historical 100-year-old Thai villa, is set in beautiful tropical gardens from where Chef Ian Kittichai plucks some of his ingredients.
MUST TRY: Mussuman Curry Lamb Shank is an impressive preparation. The meat is just cooked right, tender with a beautiful texture. Doused in sweet, fatty gravy that still let the meat be the star of this flavourful dish.
AMBIENCE
Issaya is truly a stunning venue offerings spectacular city and harbour views in a relaxing dining atmosphere. With a large dining area, cozy bar and lounge, private rooms and an expansive terrace overlooking the harbour.
SERVICE
Attentive Thai staff with great attitude.
FOOD
Chef Kittichai is a pioneer in farm-to-table dining in Thailand and incorporates his purity and freshness beliefs into Issaya. An ever-changing market menu that highlights seasonal specials, direct from the market, is the heart of the menu.
SUMMARY
Colorful decor with comfortable and relaxed seating. The food is incredibly fresh and creative but unfortunately the service lacks sometimes the necessary attention and needs improvement.
