ABOUT CHEF
Chef Michelle Goh

Chef Michelle Goh, an extraordinary talent in the realm of pastry, has distinguished herself as the youngest female Malaysian chef to be honored with a Michelin star, making her the first-ever Sarawakian to achieve this prestigious recognition.

Hailing from the charming town of Kuching on Borneo Island, Michelle refined her culinary skills at Le Cordon Bleu Sydney and gained invaluable experience under the guidance of renowned chefs, including the esteemed Three-Hatted Eleven Bridge by Neil Perry in Australia. Her insatiable thirst for knowledge is evident, as she utilizes her limited free time to learn from respected industry giants like Anna Polyviou.

Her culinary journey also took her to Pollen under Jason Atherton in Singapore before finding a home in the "Land of Smiles." She joined the two Michelin-starred restaurant Suhring, where, at the remarkable age of 23, she assumed leadership of the pastry section. During her tenure, the restaurant not only earned its first Michelin star but also secured a promotion to two stars.

While Chef Michelle Goh is the chef patron of Mia restaurant, her accomplishments extend beyond the kitchen. She has been honored with the 'Young Chef of the Year' award, and Mia has been recognized for having the 'Best Dessert Menu' by Bk Top Tables.

Chef Pongcharn ‘Top’ Russell

Chef Pongcharn 'Top' Russell, the first Thai chef in the country to be awarded a Michelin star, specializing in Western cuisine, extends an enchanting invitation to diners for a gastronomic journey shaped by his diverse experiences.

Born in Nakorn si Thammarat to a fishing family of Thai Muslim descent, he grew up on the serene shores of Phuket. However, it wasn't until his move to the U.K. at the age of 15 that his desire and passion for hospitality were awakened. What began as a part-time gig at a countryside hotel (Priory Bay with 3 Rosette) led him to forego university and immerse himself in the kitchen full time.

This decision propelled him to work in esteemed kitchens such as Rousillion in Chelsea, then receiving an invitation from Chef Patron Alexis Gauthier to open 'Gauthier Soho,' which earned a Michelin star within six months of opening.

Chef Top continued his culinary journey, working with renowned chefs, including Jun Tanaka at The Pearl, before joining the prestigious two Michelin-starred Sketch Lecture Room & Library, which was later promoted to three stars, under the guidance of legendary master chefs Pierre Gagnaire and Romain Chapel.

Chef Top's culinary odyssey stands as a testament to his unwavering dedication to the art of gastronomy. In 2014, he made the move to Singapore, joining Jason Atherton at Pollen, where his talent propelled him to the position of Senior Sous Chef with four promotions in two years. His dream of returning to his roots became a reality in 2016 when, at the age of 26, he became the Executive Chef at Freebird in Bangkok.

Recognized by multiple publications such as Thailand Tatler Gen T, Koktail’s Future 100 list, and notably Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia, Chef Top also received the BK Magazine Top Tables Best Young Chef award in 2018—an honor also bestowed upon Chef Michelle a few years later.
