ABOUT CHEF
Originally Phuket-born and raised, Chef Mond has acclimatized with Southern Thai cuisine since he was young as his family business has run Kaab Gluay restaurant in Patong city for more than 20 years. After graduating from culinary school in the School of The Oriental Hotel Apprenticeship Programe (OHAP), he proved himself to be the executive chef at Foto Hotel just only the age of 24.

Winning an episode of the popular Iron Chef Thailand 2020 competition gave Chef Mond even more of a following, well beyond Phuket, and the drive to share “how Southern people eat,” in a fine dining setting. He lights up when he talks about his support for Southern Thai's local ingredients along with local farmers and local fishermen. He makes it his mission to reintroduce Southern Thai culinary culture to the well-known mass public palate.
