Executive Chinese Chef Lam Kok Weng’s menu entices with a wide range of exquisite delicacies. Plated food is high in quality, using premium imports such as lobster from Boston and Australian beef. AMBIENCE
An inspired design concept evinces the convivial ambiance of a traditional Chinese courtyard and features an entranceway depicting sepia-tinted scenes of old Shanghai. Guests then step into a spacious contemporary main dining room with a capacity for nearly 200 diners. The same subtle blend of traditional and modern further appears in the restaurant’s four private dining rooms ideal for business lunches, friend and family gatherings, and exclusive social occasions. All rooms have city views and can be configured for 10 to 44 guests.

With more than three decades of experience, Chef Lam Kok Weng is a key element in the success of both the restaurant and the hotel. Chef Lam brings to the post three decades of experience, having begun his career back in 1989 at, in fact, Carlton Hotel Singapore. Since then he has gained wide-ranging kitchen experience as a cook, sous chef, and assistant chef at major hotel properties and distinguished restaurants in Singapore and Jakarta. Although Singaporean, the chef brings to the position long-term experience in Thailand: for the past 15 years he has lived and worked in Bangkok, acquiring additional experience as culinary director and chef de cuisine in several noted luxury hotels. Wah Lok has served the finest Cantonese cuisine to discerning diners in Singapore and Bangkok. Wah Lok has earned numerous awards and a well-deserved reputation as one of the best Cantonese restaurants in Southeast Asia.
